Abstract:
This article presents the results of the project portfolio management in Romanian R & D organizations as a result of questionnaire research of the managers of the organizations, the project managers and the researchers who are members of the project teams. The three categories of staff surveyed consider almost equally that the two stages of project portfolio management within R & D organizations are: project identification, categorization and prioritization; selection and portfolio balancing. According to research results, most Romanian R & D organizations are still at the first maturity level in project portfolio management.
