Abstract:

The article discusses a number of provincial financial establishments in the Russian Empire in the second half of the 19th century defining their role in the collection of certain types of duties. It also analyzes the structure and specificity of the treasury chamber during this period and its work with various financial and other government establishments. The article concerns with the aspect of the provincial and parish treasuries’ significance in the system of collecting certain types of duties. It is defined here the importance of tax inspectors and analyzed the activities of control chambers in the Russian Empire in the second half of the 19th century.
