Abstract:
The development of science, public support and involvement in the scientific activities of youth in the Russian Federation currently is in the focus, which determines a special social significance and relevance of scientific research in the field of psycho-pedagogical mechanisms involving in the research activity of youth, its activation, formation of positive motivation of the research work in the education system. The article presents the results of empirical study of psychological features of research activities of university students. The study involved 330 students of the regional higher education institution engaged in research activities. The hierarchies of types of motivation of research activities, motives of study at the university, the features of creativity of students are studied. Their relationship is considered. The results of the study have found their application in the practice of work on the activation of student scientific work in the conditions of the university and also in the development of science-based recommendations to improve the psychological and pedagogical support of research work of young research scientists.
