Public Expenditures Reform in the Context of Financial Crisis (Case Study – Romania)

Abstract:

The present paper aims to highlight the evolution of public expenditure and also public debt as a result of European Union member states reactions to the crisis. The analysis is performed on the 2006-2014 interval, the interval is divided into two segments: before and after the economic crisis. The implications of the economic crisis and the evolution of public spending after this point is analyzed in Romania together with the measures proposed by the Government in the fiscal strategy. In relation to the purposes and objectives of the proposed research, documentation was done both in terms of bibliographic resources and in terms of legislative documents and reports quantitative.
