Abstract:
The article deals with the application of computer technologies in social sciences. Computer technologies have been actively used in the social sciences in recent years, especially in the applied and commercial sections. The digital world also opens up new data sources for researchers – all sorts of "digital footprint" that users leave in the digital environment. These digital methods in the social sciences are also applicable to the study of the quality of life of the population. The data source in this case is the subjective judgments of users in social networks about the state of quality of life in a particular region of Russia. A new method for assessing the quality of life of the population of regions based on data mining and big data technologies is proposed. The results of a study of the quality of life according to social networks in 83 regions of the Russian Federation are presented.
