Abstract:

This paper presents an impact assessment of 5G New Radio (NR) based station (BS) location on the received radio signal quality. This evaluation is based on radio signal metrics, like Reference Signal Receive Power (RSRP), Reference Signal Received Quality (RSRQ), and Signalto-Interference-plus-Noise Ratio (SINR). These parameters are analyzed at each user equipment. Physical Cell Identity (PCI) is also used to assess the 5G NR BS coverage. The measurements were carried out for a 5G NR private network in a campus scenario using the Rohde & Schwarz TSMA6B scanner.
