Abstract:

The article presents problems in the field of conducting development works in the production process of military unmanned aerial vehicles, the introduction of which to the market is strongly dependent on the certification process of the finished product. The current legal status in the field of allowing UAVs to operate in military and civilian areas was discussed. The methods of formal validation of unmanned systems are presented, which are more and more often used on the market for the production of UAVs weighing over several hundred kg. A description of the certification process of aviation platforms is also presented, which, as part of their architecture, contain elements produced in R&D research. These elements, usually the most technologically advanced, constitute a bottleneck in the platform certification process.
