Abstract:

In this article, the authors attempted to identify the elders and the stakeholders as defined in the Malaysian law. It analyses the existing laws, if any, and policies for the elders in this country. Article into the issues, shortcomings and challenges in safeguarding elders from the Malaysian Public and families and making recommendations on laws and policies in order Malaysia meets the international standard as set by the international Human Rights Law.
