Reconfiguring the Health Care Ecosystem

Abstract:

Management approaches emphasize the need of reconfiguring the customers ecosystem (as a new analytical unit for strategic thinking), suppliers and business partners in order to transform its value proposal, business model and securing new competitive advantages. The business strategies must be established based on the probability of evolution of the respective ecosystem. Partnership with technology integrators and leaders are considered essential to success, the business landscape being described as an ever-changing ecosystem where some relationships and alliances need to be ended, while others require reinforcement, initiation or strengthening. Managers should adapt their strategies having a clear vision, taking into account changing mindsets and behaviors, understanding patient experience and the power of digital capabilities. As such, the patients experience should be one of the first three priorities of the organization.
