Abstract:

This research paper represents a theoretical approach on what makes crises ignite, what are the causes, the effects and what is the aftermath on a financial and economic scale. The purpose of the paper is to offer to the reader updated information on the chronology of economic and financial crises from the end of the 19th century till the beginning of the 21st century. The overview on crises is also based on what economic thinkers from the 18th century till today thought about crises and population’s behavior towards them.
