Abstract:
Human faces can express a wealth of information. A simple raised eyebrow or curl of the lip expresses subtle emotions innately. By studying faces, researchers have matched subtle changes in the positioning of the mouth, eyes and eyebrows into six variations of basic human emotions. These six emotions are happiness, surprise, disgust, sadness, anger and fear. Scientists are using this information to develop computer technology that analyzes facial movements and tics to help assessing the veracity of suspicions testimony. This study aims to design and develop a mobile application that can recognize subtle changes in the positioning of the mouth, eyes and eyebrows of the identified six variations in human emotions such as happiness, surprise, disgust, sadness, anger and fear. After capturing user.s face image, the image is analyzing by the apps and an emotion will be recognized. This recognizing process will then be followed by a simple solution when user is recognized having negative feeling. For instance, whenever the user is smiling, the app will recognize that the user is happy. On the other hand, when user is having a dull face, the app will recognize that the user is having bad feeling and provide a simple solution for them. Some available solutions and advices for reducing negative feeling such as enjoying relaxing music, reading comedy, playing game, suggestion for a walk etc.
