Abstract:

Regional development is a complex and multidimensional characteristic which is defined ambiguously and even though it is frequently used both in theory and practice (due to a far-reaching universal agreement as to its meaning), the lack of precision and the ambiguity of this term make it colloquial in day-to-day practice.
