Regression Predictive Model to Analyze IoT Barriers in Supply Chain Management

Abstract:

Recent advances in information technology have led to significant changes in global production. This study focuses on barriers occurring from the Internet of Things (IoT), as they lead to new ways of operating in the supply chain. Modern supply chains have changed into more complex procurement chains and have become a significant source of competitive advantage. Identifying the source of raw materials and maintaining the visibility of products and goods as they travel through the supply chain network has become increasingly difficult to verify. The current study is a preliminary approach to the development of a barrier prediction analysis model resulting from the use of IoT and existing in the SCM. To achieve this goal, the study identified eight other barriers for IoT users to prevent their implementation in supply chains. IoT barriers are further analyzed by addressing SAP Analytics Cloud modeling. The identification of the technological barriers underlying the SCM is a prerequisite for conducting future research.
