A Reinterpretation of the Hierarchy of Needs

Abstract:

This study is trying to reinterpret the order in which individual needs are arranged in society. In A. Maslow acceptance the disposition of these needs is one in a pyramidal form where on its base are the basic or lacking needs, followed by the upper or psychological needs. My proposal is to have these needs circular. The order of the needs arranged in this circle corresponds to that described in the pyramid, being chosen a new redistribution. This model brings into question the basic needs and redistribution of the above into a new acceptable: social needs and personal needs. Social and personal needs include basic needs and needs as described in the upper hierarchy of needs theory developed by A. Maslow.
