Relations between Employees and their Superiors in the Process of Knowledge Management in Organizations

Abstract:

Presented article deals with the issue of relations in organizations, mainly between superiors and subordinates, and their influence on the realization of the knowledge management processes. It consists of the theoretical part in which literature studies were conducted, and an empirical one, presenting the results of the study. In the first part of this article the essence of relations between people in the organization is briefly described. In particular, the concept of relational potential was explained and its determinants were identified. Factors influencing the course of the relationship are also described in the article. Then the concept of employee relationship management (ERM) is discussed, including issues such as its definition, processes, actions taken in the process of ERM realization as well as benefits that good, deep, based on trust relations bring to all employees, superiors and the organization. In the following part of the article factors affecting the quality of relations are presented and the impact of the relationship on the knowledge management processes is described. In the second part of this article results of the research carried out on working people in various aspects of knowledge management in organizations. Answers to questions included in the questionnaire made it possible, among other things, to assess the quality of relations between superiors and employees and determine whether superiors take actions and present behaviors that positively influence the process of building good and deep relations with subordinates. The final part of the article includes conclusions resulting from theoretical consideration and conducted research.Â
