Relationship between Time Management and Students’ Learning Outcomes of Grade XI – Science on Fluid Static Material

Abstract:

This study aims to examine the relationship between time management on learning outcomes in static fluid material. This research was conducted at High School Ksatrya, Central Jakarta, Indonesia for data collection while at State University of Jakarta where writing, analyzing, making paper report and research result presentation. The study was conducted in August to November 2017. The study used a survey method consisting of 10 steps, namely (1) problem background and problem formulation (2) theoretical basis (3) hypothetical (4) instrument development (5) population withdrawal, (6) sampling, (7) instrument testing, (8) data collection (9) data analysis (10) conclusions and suggestions. This research uses questionnaire method and test result of learning on static fluid material, the research sample was Grade 11, High School students of Ksatrya, Central Jakarta, Indonesia, as many as 34 students. Sampling with simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the correlation coefficient value of r-xy = 0.691 shows that time management affects the learning outcome of 69.1%, while 30.9% was influenced by other factors. Hypothesis test results using t-test obtained t-count = 5.405 and t-table = 2.036, because t-count> t-table, it can be concluded that there was a relationship between time management and students’ learning outcomes.
