Interpersonal relationships between employees are fundamental in contemporary organisations. The quality of those relationships, and in particular relationships with the superior, affects not only the wellbeing of individuals but also the functioning of the entire company. The advantages of good relationships in the workplace are hard to overestimate. They translate to a higher productivity, employee engagement, innovation stimulation and higher job satisfaction. Positive employee relationships, in particular relationships with the superior, build the market success of an organisation and at the same time are a value that may constitute an important element of the brand of a valued employer. Employer branding (EB) measures associated with the creation of a positive employer brand, addressed to both job candidates and existing employees, in order to be effective must take into account their respective expectations and needs. According to studies and reports, a positive atmosphere in the workplace, and in particular good relationships with the superior, constitute one of the highest values for contemporary employees. The purpose of this paper is to show the importance of relationships with the superior for the development of the EB proposition – based on the example of Polish TOP 500 enterprises.
