Abstract:
In Poland, despite a significant change in the quality of life, we still have a problem in this regard in rural areas. This is due to overt and covert unemployment as well as mainly low-margin activities functioning in those areas. Increasing economic development in the countryside requires creating non-agricultural jobs in the area. However, activities undertaken as part of local low-emission economy plans aimed at the development of renewable energy sources may be an opportunity for a positive change in this field.
The aim of this study was a synthetic analysis of the situation of rural unemployment and to determine whether the renewable energy sources may create an opportunity to eliminate the problem.
