Abstract:

The article presents an approach to redesigning the existing way of distributing goods, which rely on introducing an intermediate link into the direct channel in the form of a distribution centre. The proposed solution will rationalize the transport process related to the delivery of an appropriate number of pallets to end customers of the company and will contribute to the improvement of cooperation in this area. The use of IT tools to determine the location of the distribution centre allows to find quick solution to the problem, and also allows for appropriate adaptation in the event of emerging new collection points. The course of activities during the distribution process with the use of the centre developed by a logistics operator ensures the maintenance of an appropriate level of security of delivery.
