Research Concept: Innovative Forms of Activity of Agricultural Business Enterprise in the Integrated Marketing Systems

Abstract:

With a growing population, climate risks, epidemiological hazards, no clear prospects for obtaining safe energy and increasing environmental pollution, food production systems need to develop in a sustainable manner, with no adverse impact on the environment or sanitary conditions, with sparing use of energy, while securing quantitative and qualitative demand for food, which is steadily increasing. A new (innovative) model of cooperation between entities in the food economy is needed. Different groups of business entities operate in agricultural business dealing with individual stages of production and deliveries of food products. As a consequence of technological and economic specificity of food products, major mutual interdependence of competitive position of entities such as farms, processing plants and distributors exists. Currently no single effective model of cooperation between individual links of agricultural business assuring maximization of benefits that could in effect improve the competitive position of all participants in the marketing chain in a longer time perspective has been developed yet in Poland.
