Abstract:
Taking into account the current market trends and the importance of the development process in launching a new product on the market, the current research paper proposes a new product development method. The study of the methodology was based on previous experience of research conducted by various authors. Similarly, methodologies applied by companies that have a real experience and a well-developed continuous improvement process have been studied.
Starting from the data obtained from this study, the phases of the new methodology were analysed from the perspective of the frequency of occurrence in the studied methodologies. Also, in order to obtain a more competitive methodology, four performance criteria were used: the quality of the new product, the delivery time, the cost and performance of the product.
