Abstract:
Taxation in Scandinavian countries is a highly debated subject of public policy and is well-renowned for the high level among these countries (Denmark, Norway and Sweden). Moreover, whilst criticized, high taxation in the Scandinavians is also perceived as an efficient and essential support for the public services such as healthcare, education, social security and many others. Each tax system of the Scandinavian countries shares common aspects with each other and with many others in the European countries, but during the past century have grown higher and complex in order to response to globalization and economic changes. However, entrepreneurship in these countries seems to be successful and flourishing due to the efficiency of the business productivity combined with high taxes. In addition, citizens are repaid by their Governments in high quality public services.
