Affected by many software and hardware environments, new media and cloud computing is becoming an innovative technology widely used in the world. The application range of technology is increasing sharply, and it has been applied in physical education field. The rapid development of cloud computing and new media technology has brought earthshaking changes to human society. Physical education is different from the general theoretical teaching, which attaches equal importance to practice and theory. Through the application of new media technology, the teaching effectiveness of this kind of discipline can be greatly improved. In the modern education teaching, there are many problems in the traditional physical education teaching mode, which affects the teaching quality. However, the physical education teaching mode based on cloud computing and new media greatly makes up for the deficiencies for the traditional teaching.
