Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to present a model for an Intelligent Planning, Scheduling and Control Tool Systems (IPSCTS), with the objective to highlight some of the problems involved in the decision support of production process requested by the Make-to-order (MTO) approaching in case of customized products manufacturing. Recent studies showed that the existing enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) can’t evaluate this kind of problems being a misalignment between decision support offered by ERP and MTO method.
