Abstract:

This paper highlighted the issues of improper electronic records management that critically occurred in organization until to date. Part of the issues highlighted includes loss of vital electronic records and lack of system in retrieving the electronic records. Triggered by the issues, exploring an appropriate mechanism to solve the issues of improper electronic records management are conducted. As to explore, the content analysis approach has been adopted as a significant methodology for analyzing the literatures. Based on the analysis conducted, a mechanism for solving the issues of improper electronic records management are firmly identified. Through this identification, the good governance approach is selected as a significant mechanism for solving the issues driven. However, the formulation of substantial figure is required. This is to ensure the details of issues and the selected mechanism are appropriately justified. As to justify, the figure has presented details of improper electronic records management issues with constructive mapping on the good governance approach, mechanism and elements. Therefore, through this formulated figure, it is expected the issues of improper electronic records management can be adequately solved.
