Abstract:
The paper presents a multi-agent system for resources allocation to different education programmes and courses. The system is developed for a big Romanian university, with hundreds of programmes delivered every year. The multi-agent system receives inquiries from education programmes for different resources and performs a transparent negotiation process between these progarmmes and the resources managers, in order to find a good solution for the resources allocation problem. In the initial stage of the multi-agent system deployment, only two types of resources are considered, professors and teaching rooms.
