Resource Productivity in a Circular Economy

Abstract:

Besides a very high competition, expensive and insufficient resources, employee demoralization due to the effects of economic crises, expensive technologies, nowadays the companies struggle with the need of disruptive changes and radical innovations in the management and production activity. A business development model should be sustainable on long term and creating a new more ecologic environment. From here emerge the idea of reducing cost by recycling and reusing the wastes, having a systemic perspective.

This paper aims to get a perspective on resources consumption and productivity of the economical agents analyzing the data published by Eurostat in Environmental Data Centre on Natural Resource. The results of data analysis is a regression model that analyses the factors that influence the resource productivity.
