Abstract:
The environment that companies operate in forces them to quickly address upcoming changes. Every contemporary manager should, on a regular basis, elaborate a transformation plan within the company based on an analysis of the current situation and knowledge of the entity. Changes of radical character, so-called restructuring, are of particular importance. Restructuring is a process that is very strongly connected with the nature of operations of a particular company. Thus, it always requires an individual approach depending on the character of operations, identified problems, as well as circumstances the company operates in. This part of the elaboration is to present the management process (restructuring) of a municipal collective transport company in a crisis situation. The theoretical purpose of this chapter is to depict the key issues regarding restructuring of municipal local collective transport companies. As the methodical goal, presentation of the restructuring process in a public transport company has been deemed. The described decision-making game, which reflects addressing the key management problems related to the restructuring process of a collective transport company, is of application character.
