Abstract:
The main aim of the survey is to find causes of risks in supply chain management in small and medium-sized enterprises. This article is also an attempt to determine the level of employee’s education in the field of risk identification and prevention, identify sources of risk especially in the links between an enterprise and its suppliers and customers as well as perception of risk among men and women depending on the job position. The research sample of 50 SMEs has been chosen among small and medium-sized enterprises operating in various branches. Finally, thirty-three companies those returned completed inquiry were selected to the analysis. Study results shows different ways to identify and dealing with risk in supply chain management, depending on the size of the company, business area and economic sector in which it is. The results also contain information on the frequency of training on risk in supply chain management and their most common types, and the attitude of respondents to specific risk factors
