Abstract:
Managing environmental disaster requires the use of technology into how technology is used to minimize the casualties and loss incurred when disaster strikes. This research is on the Role of GIS, Tunnelling Technology and Space Technology in Natural Disaster Management in UAE. Natural Disaster management plays a very vital role in UAE as many disasters occurred which have a devastating effect on human life. Therefore, quantitative methodology was employed in this research work and SPSS was used as the tools for data analysis. Questionnaire was used as a means of data collection in this paper. The relevant data were collected from the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA). The findings show that Aggregately, disaster management construct have a mean value of 3.824 indicating agreement with all the statements posed to the respondents. The result shows that GIS and Space Technology have the highest mean values indicating respondents’ higher rating for them in tackling natural disasters in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
