The Role of Human Resource Management in the Learning Organization: An Empirical Study of Public Sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of human resource management in building and developing a learning organization in Bahrain public sector. An empirical study has been applied to explore the role of human resource management in a three-level framework: the individual, the group, and the organizational level. It reveals the significant relationship between the learning organization and the human resource role toward each level in the management framework. The findings need to be generalized carefully because of the relatively small sample size.  The findings enriches the human resource management field in general and the public sector in particular, so human resource professional could allocate and redirect their efforts to support the success of a governmental learning organization.
