Abstract:

Romania is a country very close to France from a geographical, cultural and linguistic point of view. Being a Latin country, Romania is an exception in Central and Eastern Europe. Thanks to the historical and cultural proximity connecting the two countries, France has a very favorable image in the eyes of the Romanian people. Today, 20% of Romanians speak French, Romania being member state of the International Organization of the Francophonie since 1991. Yet, English remains the main language for business.
