Romania during the Great Depression (1929-1933) and the Current Economic Crisis

Abstract:

In the past few centuries the economic growth has been at the forefront of the economists discussion. The cyclicity further provides new economic challanges.

It is often insisted on a number of similarities between the world economic crisis and the present one (from the causes and until the way of action, process).

The current economic crisis was considered that it is not so dangerous for the national States as the interwar one, whereas Nations are now much better organized, they have an increased capacity to perform its functions; but for Europe it is a great challenge, especially for Romania, but also for other States.

Romania pursued to obtain the membership of the European Union. Its economy has not been properly restructured to meet the obligations and request of the developed countries, and now it is very difficult to deal with it because unprepared from the institutional point of view. Thus, we have an analysis of the Romanian economy during the two great economic crisis: the Great Depression (1929-1933) and the current economic crisis.
