Abstract:
Companies are extending their recruiting and promotion efforts to groups that traditionally were under-represented or not present at all. The concepts of workforce diversity and inclusion are no longer an abstraction. Funding and exploiting new resources has never more actual and motivating as in the world today. Society for Human Resource Management along the Economist Intelligence Unit elaborated a measurement index used to rank diversity readiness for 47 countries. The present article describes the situation of east European countries concerning diversity readiness index with a particular overview on Romanian case.
