Abstract:
The research aimed to analyze the correlation between rural tourism and sustainable development in the tourist district of Pachacamac following the COVID-19 pandemic. This quantitative, applied study used a correlational approach with a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 59 residents working in rural tourism within the district. Two surveys, each containing 27 items, assessed rural tourism and sustainable development. Both instruments were validated by expert judges and demonstrated high reliability, with Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.854 and 0.928, respectively. The results showed a statistically significant and very strong positive correlation (ρ = 0.813, p < 0.001) between the two variables, suggesting that implementing effective rural tourism strategies fosters sustainable development in the area.
