Abstract:

The world is experiencing the fastest, largest and most profound changes in the history of mankind. High technologies represented by digital tools are developing rapidly, and competition for a comprehensive national power, characterized by the development of digital technologies and the information industry, is becoming increasingly fierce. The deep impact of digitalization on economic development and social progress has caused widespread concern in countries around the world. Both developed and developing countries attach great importance to digitalization and accelerate the advancement of digital technologies as a strategic objective of economic and social development. The information industry created by the digital revolution is a strategic industry. The new technological revolution, led by digital technology, is leading to changes in production methods around the world and causing profound changes in the structure of world production, investment, and trade. Although this change is still in its infancy and there is still much uncertainty, some trending features have begun to appear. Russia and China have enormous potential for cooperation in the field of the digital economy. This article discusses the potential opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between Russia and China in the field of the creation and use of digital technologies, as well as some information on the digitalization level of a number of world leaders in this area.
