Security threads in SDN

Abstract:

Classic networks are not very susceptible to changes and reconfiguration, therefore, they are not adapted to the requirements of today's applications that require certain type of network flexibility. Software Defined Networks (SDN) have introduced changes to the network architecture [1], thanks to which the introduction of new functionalities and changes in the ICT network infrastructure can be implemented without the need to organize downtime. That is why the innovative SDN architecture in a way solves one of the most serious problems of today's networks. Despite these and other advantages of SDN, security remains one of the most important concerns and a potential obstacle to wider use of the technology.
