Abstract:

This article analyses the current situation as well as projections for the future of road transport in Poland, as well as setting the appropriate strategy of developing this area of activity. The starting point is the role of transport in the economy. This paper also includes characteristics of forms of shipping according to the transport branch concentrating on road transport, in account of data on carriage, cargo, and average shipping distance.
