Self-assessment of Digital Competences in Poland and the Results of Objective Measurements of These Skills in Polish Society

Abstract:

The article highlights Poland's digital competency challenges, noting a discrepancy between perceived and actual skills. Despite education reforms, digital competencies remain low, threatening competitiveness. While Poland leads in professional developers, a "competency revolution" is still needed. Overall, the article emphasizes the urgent need to bridge the digital skills gap to meet the demands of Industry 4.0 and digitization.
