Abstract:
The article discusses the IT services sector and its growing role and significance in the global economy as well as in the service society that is emerging today. This article presents a detailed description of the dynamics at play in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The existing research has not yet given a clear answer to how the current pandemic may affect the dynamics of business development and growth in IT services. This article aims to illustrate how digital technology drives entrepreneurship and competitiveness in a post-COVID-19 world by means of examining IT Programming, Consultancy & Information services sector. During the research a relationship between the hard (things) and the soft (knowledge, trust) elements of management could be observed.
The research presented in this article was carried out using the Delphi approach and data analysis of available sources. It focused on the development of IT Programming, Consultancy & Information Services in the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Poland, and Greece, but placed additional focus on economic projections to 2026.
This study shows the research gap has emerged which calls for the development of a more unified framework that incorporates multilayered aspects of change and development in business digitalization.
