Six Sigma Program and Process Improvement In a Graphic Companies

Abstract:

Process improvement results in costs associated with the purchase of new technology, modification of existing equipment, training employees, hiring new employees and investment in information technology infrastructure. Regarding this Six Sigma is one of the most common used programs in production companies for reduce cost, improve productivity and provide a basis for establishing improvement goals. Six Sigma can be described such as strategy which includes Total Quality Management, strong customer focus, data analysis tools, financial results and project management to satisfy customer needs. The effective implementation of Six Sigma program practices results in competitive advantage for organizations. This paper describes characteristics of Six Sigma and presents results of the empiric researc conducted in Croatian graphic companies which provide to graphic companies better understanding of Six Sigma benefits and outcomes, insight into the Six Sigma strategies, principles, tools and techniques and Six Sigma key factors as well.
