Abstract:
Poor recognition is granted by the international literature and research to the networking of cities, as smart concept. Various scholars bring into focus main determinant for a stable and prosperous living environment, which is the collaboration, but most of today’s governing institutions do not competently apply this principle. Although a rich scientific documentation validates the multiple interdependencies which exist between the cities, standards and solutions for making their collaboration smart are still lacking to emerge. Ideally would be to aim at developing smart networks of smart cities, in which all physical and virtual systems, platforms, processes and business models are functionally coupled in all activity fields, to the extent decided by the smart societies populating these cities.
