Abstract:
The need for digitalization of educational processes is dictated by demands of the digital era in the development of the society and its economy. Examining the opportunities of a modern University for educating physically disabled persons (hereinafter referred to as PDP) is seen as relevant in the context of both identifying obstacles and determining the areas for the most efficient use of digital educational and adaptive technologies at the University. The authors studied the best Russian and foreign practices of inclusive education, they analyze the potentialities of universities in providing opportunities for getting higher education for physically disabled students and other students who do not have the ability to attend classes and participate in public life due to health reasons. The authors draw conclusions on the need to develop digitalization in education towards providing feedback between the students and the University and abandoning the technologies aimed at simple mechanization of the learning process for PD persons. The conclusions are based on the concept of tolerance and true provision of equal rights and equal opportunities in education and other social processes.
