Social Costs of Technological Development and Industrialization

Abstract:

The technological development of the West sides carries social, psychological, and other problems in addition to its positive. It creates a distance to the traditional vision of the world, traditional morality, and lifestyle. Not only does it hinder the transfer of values, but also it causes the disappearance of family and community ties. It gives rise to anonymity and atomization of society. It triggers irrational mechanisms that can be dangerous to physical and mental health.
