Abstract:

Functioning of an organization based on the principles of sustainable development and social responsibility offers great advantages. Social responsibility is one of the most important assets, providing the entity with credibility and social trust, which cannot be built using other measures. Socially responsible activities bring significant benefits also for educational institutions and graduates. The paper presents the essence of the CSR concept, describes the concept of socially responsible education and the role it should play in the education of future generations. The results of our own research were presented, showing only a small part of Polish education and actions taken to promote sustainable development and social responsibility. The main objective was to determine the degree to which the idea of responsible business was incorporated into the educational contents in universities and to assess the conditions of education in accordance with CSR principles.
