Abstract:
This paper discusses the issues of social support and the quality of life of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ADS) - Asperger Syndrome - who are temporarily orphaned due to their father/parents migrating. The paper pays particular attention to social support and the quality of life of migrant families from the perspective of young people with ASD - Asperger Syndrome. The study applied the quantitative method, as well as the Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) created by Ed Diener and adapted by Zygfryd Juczyński, and the Social Support Scale developed by K. Kmiecik-Baran. Participating in the study were 50 young people (39 boys and 11 girls) aged 16-18 whose parents had gone abroad for economic reasons. The results of the research show that the quality of life and social support for temporarily orphaned young people with ASD - Asperger Syndrome are at a low or medium level.
