Abstract:
This paper reviews the approach of socially responsible investment (SRI) in condition of the Czech Republic and highlights the perspectives for an increasingly strong connection with the practice of corporate social responsibility. The paper aims to understand the rising role of SRI trends and actual drift for the long term perspective in business development and the research is based on literature review and case study of SRI options and possibilities for responsible investing approach. In particular, it has become an investment philosophy adopted by a growing proportion of large investment institutions. This shift in SRI from margin to mainstream and the position in which institutional investors find themselves is leading to a new form of SRI shareholder pressure. Although is papers focuses on approaches of the trends with SRI relation, we connected this with the concept of corporate social responsibility. Conclusion of the article determines the proposals and future possible areas of SRI concern. Paper is a contribution to the debate on SRI in Czechia and helping to understand the role of SRI in entrepreneurship development.
