Abstract:
This paper considers summary indicators of socio-economic development of Russia and its position in the world in the period of 1990-2014 in accordance with the concept of worldwide human development. The indexes characterizing the demographics and income, life expectancy, power consumption and quality of life are presented. The dynamics of incomes in Russia is presented in the light of poverty and hunger elimination. A comparative analysis of the quality of life in Russia and the countries with the largest economies in the world (USA, China, Japan, Germany) is conducted.
