Abstract:
This research was conducted on several Batik Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Semarang City. This study examines the influence of (1) flexibility of working hours on the role of female workers in the family; (2) socio-economic conditions on the role of female workers in the family; (3) flexibility of working hours and socio-economic conditions on the role of female workers in the family. The type of this research is explanatory research by using sampling technique of saturated sampling (census), that is, all members of population are used as sample. The sample size is 119 people with the mmeasurement scale of Likert Scale. Data analysis uses average score, simple and multiple linear regressions. Processed using SPSS, research results show that there is influence of flexibility of working hours and socioeconomic conditions simultaneously on the role of female workers in the family. This influence indicates that the better the flexibility of working hours and socioeconomic conditions, the better the role of female workers in the family.
