Abstract:
The core task of management is to improve the effectiveness in things that are subject to management. Management activities are implemented through decision-making. In addition, taking into account the trends and dynamics of change in business environment features, it is fundamental to understand why people make certain decisions, and why they act in one way or another. These questions are studied by the psychological decision theory, which offers an intensively developing direction in the theory of decision-making. This article describes the mechanisms of how humans perceive information, the factors that influence decision-making, as well as the role of sociocultural factors in the process of making and implementing managerial decisions as one of the significant groups of factors of management adaptation and transformation. Existing interpretations of “culture” phenomenon and its role in society and economy, the research methods and methods for evaluating the impact of culture on business management have been analyzed. The article highlights the following key problem: how does the corporate culture interact with the culture that exists outside the firm; the situations arising when the employee’s internal culture collides with the company’s corporate culture. The work resulted in the suggested model of the impact of external factors of sociocultural nature on the decisions and actions of companies’ managers and staff.
